The night I answered the call to ministry,
I laid my life before Jesus—
like five loaves and two fish in His hands.

Now, twenty years have quietly passed,
and I find myself—
a husband to one, a father to five.

Today, I realized—
our family is five loaves and two fish:
Five children like five barley loaves,
Two parents like two small fish.

I offer our firstborn, Lydia, to Jesus.
May she, like Lydia of old,
who opened the doors to Europe’s gospel light,
open her hands, and give for the Kingdom.

I offer our second, Abe, to Jesus.
May he, like faithful Abraham,
who held nothing back from God,
gladly lay his treasures on the altar.

I offer our third, Grace, to Jesus.
May she, like the grace that overflows, 
pour out her gifts with joy and love
for the glory of the Lord.

I offer our fourth, Esther, to Jesus.
May she, like brave Queen Esther,
who said, “If I perish, I perish,”
serve her King with passion and courage.
I offer our fifth, Hannah, to Jesus.
May she, like the praying Hannah,
faithful and persistent,
lift up a lifetime living sacrifice of prayer.

I offer my life partner, Joyce, to Jesus.
May she rest in the shadow of the Almighty,
radiant as Christ’s beloved bride,
walking in freedom, joy, and peace.

And once again, today,
I offer myself to Jesus.
A single fish in His hand,
may I be used
to bring life to the many.

“오병이어” 
- 한승리 -
목회자가 되겠다고 헌신했던 날 밤,
나의 삶을 오병이어로 예수님께 바쳤습니다. 

그로부터 20년이 지난 오늘,
어느새 한 아내의 남편, 
다섯 자녀의 아빠가 되었습니다. 

오늘 문득 우리 가정이 꼭 
오병이어 같다는 생각이 들었습니다. 
보리떡 다섯개와 같은 다섯의 자녀들,
물고기 두마리와 같은 아내와 나. 

첫째인 Lydia를 예수님께 드립니다. 
유럽 선교의 문을 열었던 Lydia 처럼,
자신의 물질을 주의 나라를 위하여 드리기를. 

둘째인 Abe를 예수님께 드립니다. 
가장 귀한 것을 하나님께 드렸던 Abraham 처럼,
자신의 보물을 주님께 주저없이 드리기를. 

셋째인 Grace를 예수님께 드립니다. 
우리 삶에 언제나 넘치는 Grace 처럼,
자신의 예능을 주를 위해 값없이 드리기를. 

넷째인 Esther를 예수님께 드립니다. 
죽으면 죽으리라 일사각오의 사람 Esther 처럼,
온 마음과 열정을 다하여 주를 섬기기를. 

다섯째인 Hannah를 예수님께 드립니다. 
끈기로 기도하고 약속을 지켰던 Hannah 처럼,
평생 신실하고 경건한 기도의 제사를 드리기를. 

삶의 동반자인 Joyce를 예수님께 드립니다. 
전능자의 그늘 아래서, 예수님의 신부로,
자유와 기쁨과 평안을 누리기를. 

그리고 오늘 다시,
나의 몸을 예수님께 드립니다. 
예수님께 붙들린 하나의 생선이 되어,
많은 사람들을 살리는 복된 삶을 살기를.
