Epiphany is an “Aha!” moment.
 
Epiphany is the moment
that Christ is revealed to “all” people
even to the Gentiles… the Magi.
 
The Magi saw the star from afar.
They traveled, worshiped, gave him gifts.
And their joy was complete.
 
A month ago
Esther bought a Christmas gift for me
at her school’s Shopping Bonanza.
She put it under the Christmas tree.
She waited and waited and waited…
 
On Christmas Day
when I finally opened her gift,
her joy was complete.
 
The best gift she gave me was not her gift,
but her joy of giving, 
her loving heart.
 
My prayer for the new year
is that I may be overwhelmed with joy,
the joy of giving,
the joy of making much of Christ.
